DREAMING OF BAGDAD is a series of designs inspired by the accents of the traditional life in Bagdad as it once was , nice proud tall palms ,turquoise domes, brilliant houses with wonderful windows , coloured glass and porches with tall columns ,doors with small brass details, plant pots and water pots “hib” on the front door steps and verandas…. All reflecting the sun and sparkling all over the riverside of the beautiful Dijlah … In the background the sound of traditional folkloric songs …fog al nakhal fog yabeh fog al nakhal fog …and tal3a min bait abuha raiha lbait al jiran fat ma salam 3alaya yimkin al hilu za3lan…. Ala Shawati Dijlah mur… So these works are an invitation to dream away with me in childhood memories.. Memories of good old times….
